CAMEROON – CHINA
On Wednesday 29 April 2026, H.E. FELIX MBAYU, Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, received H.E. XU YONG, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Cameroon, in an audience at the latter’s request.
During their encounter, the Minister and the Chinese diplomat reviewed multilateral and bilateral cooperation.
On the multilateral front, they noted their shared views on major international issues, and their long tradition of mutual support within multilateral bodies in which both countries are members.
On the bilateral front, they commended China’s significant contribution to Cameroon’s socio-economic, commercial, technical, technological, and industrial development, while agreeing to work together to deepen and consolidate the Strategic Partnership that now binds our two countries, in a mutually beneficial spirit.
